Ron Kurtus' Physical Science and Physics Credentials

Ron Kurtus is a scientist and educational writer with a logical perspective on the sciences.
He majored in both Mathematics and Physics at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and did his graduate work in Physics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and in Mathematics at the University of Missouri.
Kurtus then taught Mathematics at the University of Missouri, Physical Science at the Milwaukee Area Technical College and Mathematics at Waukesha County Technical College.
He worked for a number of years doing scientific work at various companies, including developing infrared sensors for weather satellites for the Santa Barbara Research Center, testing electro-optical systems for Hughes Aircraft Co. and managing the development of laser space weapons for the Air Force’s Strategic Defense Initiative programs.
Ron also had a Technical Writing business, which helped hone his skills in presenting material in technical areas, such as Physical Science and Physics.
Kurtus has written two books: Gravity and Gravitation: Derivations, Equations and Applications and Tricks for Good Grades: Strategies to Succeed in School.
Material he has written has been also been cited in 145 published books, including Physics textbooks and a book published by NASA.
