Mini-Quiz: Mental Process in Preparing for a Test

by Ron Kurtus (revised 1 July 2011)

Take this Mini-Quiz to check your understanding of the lesson material.

1. Why do you need to consider the importance of the grade to you?

Its importance will determine your motivation to try hard

You really don't, but you should go through the motions

Considering the importance will get you nervous and anxious

2. What happens if you know the material is very difficult?

It can be a wake-up call to realize you need to put in an extra effort

You can make plans to drop the course

Assume you will fail, but still show up, just in case you pass

3. Why shouldn't you party before a test, if it relaxes you?

Teachers do not like students that party

Your body and mind just won't be as effective, if you party all night

You may forget to take the test

If you got all three correct, you are on your way to becoming a Champion in Getting Good Grades. If you had problems, you had better look over the material again.
