Good Afternoon,

I stumbled across , and thought the information provided on your website was very helpful and informative.

I think you will be interested in a resource that I have personally found extremely beneficial. The site provides caregivers, patients, and others (including veterans, emergency personnel, firemen, mechanics, homeowners, etc) resources and tools to gain knowledge about a horrible type of lung cancer. Their main mission is to spread awareness for asbestos exposure, which leads to Mesothelioma. It is the only site to feature a live chat option (24/7), annual $10,000 scholarship, Q & A sessions, and much more.

If you would like more information about this site, please let me know. I think that it would be wonderful if you could link to and share it with your visitors? I think a great place would be

We really need your help to overcome this deadly disease!

I hope you have a great day.

How do albinos differs from us?

PRAYGOD - Tanzania

An albino is a person who lacks pigment or colors in his or her skin, hair, and eyes. It is a genetic defect, and the person is often sensitive to bright sunlight.
However, besides the lack of color or pigment, the person is completely normal.

How to use waterless cookware?

Topic: Cookware Companies

November 16, 2014

I had a set of Seal O Matic waterless cookware passed down to me but it didn't have the directions on how to cook in it and my aunt now has dementia.I know it was bought late 70,s because I was there and not out of school when she bought it at a home party and asked then if I could always have it and now I do but with the price of the set I don't want to mess any of it up by doing something wrong. If you can help me in any way I would greatly appreciate information you can give me to help me cook in it and be able to keep passing it down in the family.
Thanks ahead for your help,

Cindy - USA

Take a look at Waterless Cookware by Kitchen Craft, which used to make Seal-O-Matic. The site can give some basic information. Any waterless cookware recipe book can also give you guidance.

Best wishes with your cookware set.

Concerned about scintigraphy test

Topic: X-ray Risks

November 5, 2014

Dear Ron Kurtus!

I am writing to ask for your help regarding risk of radiation exposure via a whole body bone scintigraphy. I found your article at very interesting and helpful, however unfortunately I wasn't able to find data on scintigraphy there.

I am a 38 yr old female and would like to have children possibly within 1-2 yrs. As you probably know it is getting more and more difficult to be able to bear a healthy child as we are ageing due to the declining quality of the eggs. You probably also know that unlike men we cannot produce new ones.

Hence my worry, as scintigraphy will require an isotope injection and then the whole body is to be scanned. I am not quite sure of further details on this technology.

I was warned by the professional who scheduled me for the exam that I cannot go near pregnant women and small children for 24 hrs after the exam, as that is the time it usually takes for the isotope to leave the body via the kidneys. I was also asked to bring 1.5L liquid for the appointment which I will need to drink quickly to help my body get rid of the radiating material.

I realise tat you are not a physician but seem to see the technical side of this matter and would be happy to have your advice, if possible within a very short time as my appointment is next Monday, 10 November 2014.

I have been trying to search the Internet for more info but so far your site has been the most informative on this matter - I would also be grateful if you could point me in a direction of where to get further information on my problem.

Please respect that I do not wish to see the specifics of my medical issue taken from this email and discussed without my specific permission on any platforms or media. Thank you.

Thank you in advance if you can find time for this question andare able to advise me.

Yours sincerely,
Alinas (I hope you understand that due to the personal details shared I wish to use 'Alinas' only as my name)

Alinas - Hungary

The amount of radioactive material inject in scintigraphy is small, although you still need to take precautions. One thing is that you should not become pregnant for at least a month after the test or until you've had another period. Once the isotope is out of your system, you should be relatively safe.

You get much more radiation from a CT scan or other types of x-rays.

Certainly, tell your doctor of your concerns to get reassurance on the issue.

Some websites on the subject, including risks are: Bone Scan and Renal Scintigraphy.

I hope that helps. Best wishes for continued good health.

I’m writing to introduce, a new volunteer-based startup that conducts free research for educators. We conduct research on all types of topics and for all different ages.

Currently, we’re collecting information on women’s health - in particular, heart health. If you have any resources you think would be useful to us, other than those listed on this page of your site: , we would love to see them! If not, no problem at all.

I’m passing along some resources that are related to this important topic. Please add them to your site if you agree that they’d be a good fit.

Let me know if you decide to post them - I will share the good news with the rest of the team!

Thank you for your time!

Rebecca - USA

Thanks for the suggested resources. I added them to the Health Resources page.

I really like your site and you have a great philosophy, I was wondering if my site would be good enough to possibly get a mention on your site?

I noticed you have a similar section that my site would be relevant to at

my site is and is all about identifying, treating and preventing fleas and flea bites, both on humans and our pets.

I was wondering if it was possible and how one would go about being added to your site?

Many thanks

I tried to access your website, but could not connect. I did add a resource to to the Health Resources page. Let me know if your site is still up.

Any danger if husband got an x-ray on his back?

Topic: X-ray Risks

April 30, 2014

My husband and i are trying to have a baby but my husband just did an xray on his back, will these xray effect his sperm, will these x-rays causes any damage to the baby if i get pregnant during this time? Thank you

Besa - Albania

The safest thing is for the doctors covered his private areas with a lead shield material. But even if they did not do that, having an x-ray on his back should not affect his sperm. The chances of damage to your baby are extremely small. However, you should be careful about getting x-rays yourself, because there is only one ovum or egg involved.

You should have no problems, and best wishes on getting a healthy baby.

Good afternoon,

I came across the School for Champions website while searching for organizations to reach out to about addiction awareness. The educational research, resources, and information that you are providing is honestly quite remarkable. I really liked reading about School for Champions. I think that this site is fantastic and an extremely valuable resource for those who are looking for information about various subjects. Keep up the great work!

I contacted you today because I am a part of the Community Outreach team at Addiction Center. As you know, over 20 million people in the United States have some form of addiction. One hundred people die every day from drug overdoses. We provide information on addictions to alcohol, tobacco, illicit and prescription drugs. We also have connections with hundreds of treatment centers across the United States. Our goal at Addiction Center is to connect those with addictions to the help they need to put their lives back together.

I noticed you have a section for drug related resources, here – . I think our site would be a great addition and benefit to your users. Do you mind including our link as well? I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Thanks for comments and the suggested health resource. I added a link to your site at Resources - Addiction. Best wishes for your organization.

Cold water is dark but hot water is not

Topic: Chlorinating Well

April 19, 2014

What should I do if I am getting dark water? When I run cold water, it happens, but not with hot...?

Zatch - USA

Usually dark water means there is sediment or rust in the water. However, if does not come through with the hot water, it may be settling in your hot water heater or changing by dissolving. You probably should check with a local well service company to see what the problem is.
