Neurologist wants me to go to ear/nose/throat doctor
Question
January 9, 2009
My question is I went to my neurologist ton January 9th 2009 and they did the VNG test and now they want to send me to a Ear/nose/throat doctor, can you tell me why they want to do this?

Answer
VNG testing is used to determine if an inner ear disease may be causing a balance or dizziness problem. If you have a mild infection or temporary vertigo, the ear/nose/throat doctor would be more appropriate to deal with it than a neurologist.
Best wishes in curing or healing your problem.

Answer
Vertigo is usually a problem of your balance system in your inner ear. But if your glass are misaligned on your head, it can create dizziness. Also, glass that are too strong can cause an effect.
If you don't feel dizzy when you are not wearing your glasses, perhaps you should see and optometrist.
