Hey,
I can't remember whether I emailed you back or not, my question is posted on your feedback site. I'm Andrew, that year 12 student doing the project on infinity, god, the church etc.

Consider how often various religion say "God is One" or "God is Eternal".
If you are one and you do view yourself as a unit as the first aspect of abrstraction or the use of your mind; then you are ONE and YOU ARE GOD.
One more step down the line of early mathematics has such pronouncements as "One is All" or the venoration in which early thinkers held numbers and even knowledge of numbers. Go to the geometry of dimensions to find the final steps to Dimensionalism. You are God and upon your death a fourth dimensional motioin (turning inside out) is performed on your soul/mind and you know all "omniscience", see all "omnipresent and are "omnipotent". These are all aspects claimed for God but they are also applicable to Numbers.
Numbers are God and you are One.

Most people on Earth feel that humans have some sort of spiritual essense. A large number believe there is a Supreme Being that was the originator. But there are others that feel we are all part of God.
Since the spirit is not a physical thing, there is no real physical proof of the existance of a Supreme Being.

I've heard this concept in philosophical discussions, but I've never seen any study on it. Many religions just say it is beyond our comprehension. If the beings are related to an infinite number, then they too must be gods.
The only implication that there may by other supreme beings is the statement in the Bible that "thou shall have no other gods before me."

I'm in year 12 (final year) at school in sydney australia. I am taking the history extension course and have to complete a major work.
The area I am researching in order to undertake my project is to do with infinity.
i am a bit sketchy so far,
but I would like to do something along the lines of:
I am hoping this:
a thesis about why the church specifically prevented exploration of the concept of infinity around the time of gallileo. My hypothesis is that the church would not allow it as if a philosopher / mathemetician could prove the infinite was non existant with concrete proof, then the church would fall appart, as god could no longer be infinite.
I have found little evidence to help my research so far but I happened to fall upon your sight which amalgamates infinity and god. no other site does that yet.
Please assist me to the full extent of your knowledge if it is not too much trouble.
Else, I might just undertake providing a chronologically ordered account of the how the idea of infinity was constructed. And then try and link social context with its moulding and perhaps find some milestones which may link social contexts

states that Giordano Bruno argued the case for an infinite universe in and was brought before the Inquisition, tortured and was burned at the stake in 1600.
Galileo was aware of Bruno's fate at the hands of the Inquisition and he became very cautious in putting forward his views.

Infinite infinities

hey i saw the articale and it was very intereseting, if there exist infinite orders of of infinty beyond our own, so basically that means that there is an infinite amount of complex beings, my question is will it aventually stop or will there be an infinte order of complex beings and beyond for infinty?, might it be possible for a being to evolve infinitly beyond "god", and be so advanced that it will be it's own reality and beyond,?, please answer me if possible

In advanced math, there are an infinite number of numbers and an infinite number of infinities, but I don;t thing they go any further than that.
It is quite possible that the supreme or complex being has multiple existances. Or there could be a series of infinite infinite supreme beings. They probably would have realms in other universes.
A recent theory said that if there are an infinite number of universes, there is a high probability our universe is duplicated somewhere.
