Mini-quiz on antimatter not adequate

The Antimatter Mini-Quiz is extremely inadequate and consists of elementary flaws.
First off, three simple multiple-choice questions are not sufficient. Second, there are two basic mistakes:
(Q2) The anti-matter in the container won't combine with the matter. In fact, the electron and positron will be involved in a cosmic dance and then annihilate in a tiny fraction of a second. The same is with the proton and antiproton, and the neutron and antineutron.
(Q2)Energy is neither created nor destroyed; everyone knows that. So a great amount of energy is NOT 'created'; rather, the energy stored in the particles of matter and anti-matter are released with a great force, in the form of gamma rays.

I am sorry you did not find the three questions in the Mini-quiz sufficient for your needs. I am sure you can purchase a physics textbook with many more questions and answers.

Question 2 did not address the time it takes for the atoms to interact and annihilate. However, I did correct using the word "created" to avoid any misunderstandings.

I updated the Antimatter lesson and its Mini-Quiz to correct any flaws.

Clouds consist of tiny water droplets. Under the right conditions, the tiny droplets group together forming rain drops, which are heavy enough to fall to the ground.

The method of "cloud seeding" can artificially cause rain by shooting certain salt crystals into the clouds, that cause the droplets to condense into rain drops.

Typically, the volume of the material increases as it changes from solid to liquid and liquid to gas. However, the volume of water is slightly less than ice at 0 degrees C until 3 degrees, when it starts to expand.

Water is one of the few materials that expands when it turns to a solid (ice).

Two solids are heated. One of the solid had a measured temperature drop in the liquid state. What could be the reason for the temperature drop?

It is possible that the energy required to change from solid to liquid was sufficient to lower the temperature slightly. I'm not sure what solids this would refer to.

Can everything be separate universes?

I have always thought the same thing, atoms and solar systems are extremely similar. And one step further,Galaxies are similar to molecules. My question, is it possible that everything living is a separate universe? Be it a person, animal, vegetable, and God?




A problem with considering galaxies as similar to molecules, it that galaxies usually have billions of stars. There are cases of double stars rotating around each other. This could be similar to a two atom molecule.

There is the Theory of Multiple Universes (Multiverse) that could apply.

Certainly, there are concepts that go beyond what is commonly considered,

Why do Tin and Manganese have the same density?

I can see that atomic weight is a factor in determinimg density, but that isn't a complete answer. Consider the elements Tin (50) and Manganese (25). They have almost the same density ~7.3g/cu cm, but Manganese has an atomic weight of 54.9 while Tin has an atomic weight of 118.7. Transuranics like U-238 have a density of ~19.1 g/cu cm whereas Iridium has a density of 22.5 g/cu cm

That is a good question.

Tin is soft and very malleable, while Manganese is very hard and brittle. Thus, the atoms in Tin are loosely separated, while those in Manganese are tightly packed. That would account for the similar densities, even though the atomic mass of Tin is higher.

Likewise, Iridium is very hard and brittle, while Uranium is relatively soft.
