Need more about the Divine Principle
January 5, 2010
To whom it may concern ,
Until the " Fall " is addressed fundamentally , the " Principle " will never be reconciled . God will restore the creation but He needs our cooperation . Traditional Christian doctrine just doesn't have a modern understanding on how to overcome our " Fallen Nature ". With all due respect to you traditional Christians . Just as the day when Jesus tried to convey new understandings , you all are stuck rejecting someones opinion like the Messiah's . The Divine Principle is more than 5 , I can assure you . Sincerly

Believers in Unity feel that humans were created in the "image of God" and are by nature good. They also believe that the Bible stories about the "fall" of Adam and Eve are not to be taken literally, but represent a message that people can make mistakes and should try to follow the good path.
They have a different interpretation of the Bible.

Not happy with my life and thinking of ending it all
December 12, 2009
Hi Im a 50yr old male and I have not been the best person but looking im really far from being evil. Im not happy in my life and IM thinking of just ending all the pain I know people say its depression but I really hate my self and seem to hurt the ones I love the most or I think I love I just dont know if I do end my life which I have planed for the end of the month will i be considered a killer.
Vinny - USA (18838)
At the age of 50, you have many years left to make amends for things you may have done in the past. Although you may not feel happy with your life, what you can do is to try to make someone else happy in that person's life. Just saying "good morning" to someone can make the person smile and start off his or her day on the right foot. What you will find is that when you try to help others in need or when you try to give someone a little joy that you will feel much better about yourself.
The reason many people have low self-esteem or are unhappy with their lives is because they feel insignificant in this world. However, by taking the focus off oneself and seeking to help others, you will find that you're making an impact and a difference in the world.
Don't start with the ones you love. Start with strangers, and just do some little things like greeting a person or opening a door for someone. These little things will make you feel better, and your loved ones will see the difference in you.
This website is about helping people become champions. Realize that you can become a champion in your life and in the lives of others.
Best wishes on your new path.
Disagree that gays could go to Heaven
November 17, 2009
There are those who like to say that the Bible does not condemn homosexuality. Various verses are cited (out of context) and the verses that people use to show that homosexuality is wrong are explained away. The world wants to change God's words and meanings into something more suitable to its sinful desires. Nevertheless, the truth stands: The Bible condemns homosexuality as a sin. Here is what the HOLY BIBLE says about it:
Lev. 18:22, "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."
Lev. 20:13, "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltness is upon them"
1 Cor. 6:9-10, "Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God."
Rom. 1:26-28, "For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. 28And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper."
Homosexuality is clearly condemned by the Bible. It goes against the created order of God. He created Adam and then made a woman. This is what God has ordained and it is what is right. Unlike other sins, homosexuality has a severe judgment administered by God Himself. This judgment is simple: They are given over to their passions. That means that their hearts are allowed to be hardened by their sins (Romans 1:18ff). As a result, they can no longer see the error of what they are doing. Without an awareness of their sinfulness, there will be no repentance and trusting in Jesus. Without Jesus, they will have no forgiveness. Without forgiveness, there is no salvation.
REPENT OF YOUR EVIL WAYS...PORTRAY THE TRUTH OF THE BIBLE...YOU WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR MISLEADING THE WEAK-MINDED INTO THINKING THEY MIGHT MAKE IT INTO HEAVEN EVEN IF THEY ARE A HOMOSEXUAL!!!

Thank you for your comments.
If you believe that Jesus died for your sins, as well as the sins of others, then you will be saved. Also, those who are gay, those who murder and those who do other sins will be saved, if they repent and believe in Christ. Did He not tell the murderer on the cross next to Him, "Today, you will be in Heaven with me"?
On the other hand, if you do not believe in Christ, you are free to condemn gays to Hell, along with others.
Also, note that our lesson clearly states: "This is an educational website. We are not promoting any one religion."
The lesson also ends with the comment: "Do gays go to Heaven or Hell? No one knows but God."

lucy - USA (18357)
It is a difficult topic, since there are many viewpoints and there really is no proof of any of them.
It certainly would be nice to meet with your loved ones and friends who had passed away. But also there would be people you didn't like there. Maybe you could be friends with them also.
Perhaps you would be able to recall all of your experiences on Earth with others there, and reflect on both the good and the bad as simply experiences of life.
Some religions believe that you will come back to Earth as a different person and be able to live and experience another life. That certainly is an interesting thought. In fact most religions accept that possibility.
The biggest thing is to enjoy your experience here on Earth and appreciate what you have been given. Also, try to spread joy to others. I believe that what happens after your body dies will reflect on how you lived your life.
Best wishes and God bless you.

Thank you for sharing your ideas and experience. Just about everybody believes that there is something else after we die. There are many ideas, but no solid proof. Still, we have the feeling that there is an after-life.
Old lady gave pamphlet on Prayer of Jabez
July 30, 2009
I AM LIVING IN SOUTH AFRICA IN A TOWN NAMED KNYSNA AT THE COAST. I am unemployed for the past 3 years, married with two kids. Today a old lady gave me a pamphlet. This is the first time I heard about Jabez. Thanks,
John Andre - South Africa (18085)
The prayer of Jabez is a good prayer that seems to have helped many people overcome their hardship.
Finding work requires that you know what you can do well and apply it to help others in business. If it is a skill they need, they may hire you. But you need to use the prayer and be determined in finding work to support your family. Don't look to the old, but look to new ideas.
I pray you will be blessed with work and good fortune.
God loves everyone
July 7, 2009
ok so i have read that being gay is a sin ,so as been told by others. but today i researched it and found somthing that a very religious person wrote. the main reason for me researching this is because i was wondering do gay people go to heaven and i found god loves every one just not the sins the do. and if u trully repent u will be fogavin .and most gays were born the way they are god and created them . people go around critizing gays when thier comiting sins as well and no sin is more sinful than another .i think people should stop critizing and let god be the judge of where we belong.
- USA (17993)
Thank you for your comments. In most Christian religions, sins are forgiven. But some religions do not believe sins are forgiven.
One question is whether being gay is a sin, if that was the way the person was born.
Christianity is not a religion
June 29, 2009
Christianity is not a religion. Catholic is a religion etc. Those who confess that Jesus is the son of GOD and he died on the cross for all those who believe in him are saved and will go to heaven. Google "23 minutes in hell" and Google "90 minutes in Heaven" very eye opening!!
- USA (17960)
Thanks for your feedback.
Actually, Christianity is a religion, just as Islam and Buddhism. They could also be called religious movements. The Catholic, Baptist and Lutheran religions are different versions of Christianity.
The book "23 minutes in Hell" tells about God sending the author Bill Wiese to spend 23 minutes in Hell and then return to Earth to tell about his experience. Although his story and video are striking, it seems quite improbable that God would pick out this one person to visit Hell. The only other one to do that was Jesus, and I don't think Wiese is in the same category.
The book "90 minutes in Heaven" seems to be about near-death experiences (NDE), where three people almost die and seem to experience heaven. There are quite a few people who have had this NDE experience, so there may be some validity to it. See:
How did Jesus overpower Satan?
June 15, 2009
Is there a theological consensus as to what transpired during Jesus's descent into hell: his motive(s)and his conscious state? Was Satan impotent in that Christ intervened in hell with or wihout Satan's permission? Was Jesus offering a salvation possibility for those in hell who died before Jesus's mortal life? Was there a teleological purpose?
- USA (17910)
Since the Apostles' Creed was written years after the time of Jesus, there is considerable interpretation of what really happened. The Bible does not say Jesus went to Hell, but instead Hades, which is apparently where souls go to await the resurrection. The purpose was to atone for the sins of mankind.
The power of Satan is another question. Satan was one of the original angels in the beginning of the Earth who then became a fallen angel and went against God. In such a case, Satan certainly would not have the power of God. In fact, Satan may be a convenient agent of God to take care of sinners who must be punished.
So Jesus was crucified and went to Hell or Hades to suffer for suffer some indignity for sinners who believe in Him. In is not certain whether those already in Hell were given a reprieve.
The story of Jesus being crucified, dead and buried, descending into hell and then ascending into Heaven seems to take care of people who have sinned and who believe, but it also brings up many more questions about the issue.
How was Lazarus's resurrection different than Jesus'?
June 15, 2009
Was Jesus's resurrection different from the "resurrection" of Lazarus? Apparently so, for Lazarus dies another natural death? Why didn't the populace listen to Lazarus after he was "raised from the dead"? Did he have no conscious recollection of the experience? Was he merely thankful and awestruck? Wouldn't he actively participate in motivating others to become more active in their faith?
- USA (17911)
According to the Bible, after Jesus was crucified, he appeared as if resurrected from the dead. But he was something beyond being a live human body, since he was able to walk through walls--as observed by his disciples--and appear as if out of nowhere.
On the other hand, Lazarus was brought back to life, as if nothing had happened to him. But people were aware of the miracle, and it motivated the chief priests and Pharisees to want to put Jesus to death. There were later legends that Lazarus went on to preach the gospel and become a priest in Cyprus.
What if a Muslim has not prayed for years?
March 30, 2009
WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO A MUSLIM IF SHE OR HE BELIEVES BUT DID NOT PRAY FOR 10 YEARS? BUT AND TO BE A GOOD MUSLIM AND STOP DOING BAD THINGS, BUT DO GOOD THINGS. WILL GOD FOR GIVE THEM FOR THEIR SINS?
fosia - UK (17534)
The Qur'an states that an afterlife in Heaven is for those who do good deeds and who submits themselves peacefully in worshiping and believing in Allah.
It isn't about who you were yesterday. It is about how you live today. A Muslim can repent and lead a good life, in order to reach Eden.
Prayer helps a person to be good, but it does not guarantee the person will be good or will go to Heaven.
Any contradiction to Leviticus in new Testament?
March 14, 2009
In the New Testament was there ever a part where it contradicted what Leviticus said? Also if a gay person repented before he died then i guess they would go to heaven, but most don't so.
Benjamin - USA (17455)
The view of many Christians is that the New Testament says that if you accept Christ as your Savior, you will be saved—no matter what your sins are. The example was on the cross, Jesus said to the criminal on the cross next to Him, "Today, you will be in Heaven with me."
Of course, the decision on who goes to Heaven does not depend on what people think, but what God thinks. We may think someone is evil, but you don’t know what is in his heart.
On the other hand, there are religions that do not believe that simply accepting Christ as your Savior is sufficient. They believe that you must also follow the 10 Commandments and not sin. Those people would, of course, believe that gays who do not change their ways will not go to Heaven.
Claims Bible says gays will be punished
March 11, 2009
Leviticus 20 13 (i believe says) that if a man lays with another man as a women does then......(something bad will happen). now why would God say that if they could still go to Heaven. And also there are minor things that the ten commandments may or may not cover.
Benjamin - USA (17428)
Leviticus is in the Old Testament part of the Bible. There are also passages in the Old Testament that condemn a man to death if he steals.
Most Christians believe that Jesus saved people from their sins, as stated in the New Testament. If a sinner repents, he will be forgiven.
Of course, people that do not accept Christ would probably believe that gay people cannot go to Heaven.
Jesus preached against sexual immorality
January 12, 2009
To whom it may concern:
In Christ's teachings, Jesus preached that no sexual immorality will inherit the kingdom of God. This means no heterosexual fornication, homosexual fornication, masterbation, or any means of such. One must remember that Christ died to abolish the Law in which we were condemed in. Without this law, however, we wouldn't know what sin was. Believe in him (without doubt) and he will turn your life around day by day. Believeing in Jesus Christ you become one in him as he was in the father as the gosple states and he will change you "you got to submitt yourself" so that you can be pleasant in the eyes of God. If you believe in this stuff then you'll also agree that God is in control of every life, every creature. God will come to you when you are ready, through Jesus Christ, and guide you. Just because you have faith doesn't mean heaven is yours. I think "Christains" need to read the Bible more carefully. (I am a man, don't listen to me or any man! Read the bible for it is the manual to truth and the "truth will set you free."
Michael - USA (17091)
I have never seen a scripture mentioning that Jesus said someone with sexual immorality will not inherit the kingdom of God. Instead, Jesus told sinners and those who participated in sexual immorality to change their ways. (John 4:13-26, John 8:3-11, Luke 7:36-50 and other scriptures.)
Most Christian religions believe He was sent to save people from their sins and not to condemn people. (John 3:17) "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him."
