Growing the School

The School for Champions has been organized and is a viable entity with its own location (domain), courses and students. The next step is to grow the school into a major contributor and resource, thus fulfilling our vision.

Growing a school consists of increasing the enrollment, revenue, and curriculum. An analysis of similar e-Learning sites is necessary to establish a plan of action to increase these goals.

This requires effective advertising and marketing to make people aware of the value of the courses. It also requires establishing credibility, adding to the curriculum, and increasing the revenue to pay for this increased activity.

Increasing enrollment

The major way of increasing the enrollment or of getting more people to take the lessons is through effective advertising. People need to be made aware of the school and of the value of its courses. Advertising is done through listing in search engines, word-of-mouth referrals, e-mail advertising to select organizations, press releases and new stories, magazine ads, and other forms of advertising.

Other factors in increasing enrollment are the size of the curriculum, the selection of courses offered and the quality of the courses. These items influence the effectiveness of some of the listed advertising methods.

There is no formal enrollment in the course and lessons offered, but anyone visiting the site and using a lesson, can be considered one of our students.

Presently, we get about 12,000 students a month to the site. In order to get more, there must be more and higher listings in the various search engines, links from schools and specialty sites, advertising in the various media, and good word-of-mouth or viral advertising.

Other thoughts are to form a community of like-minded individuals and to provide chat-rooms.

Adding to curriculum

The plan to add to the courses and lessons offered is to get experts in various subjects to contribute material.

There has to be some sort of motivation for experts to contribute to this school. Depending on the situation, the following incentives can be made:

Increasing revenue

Presently and Lanex, LLC sponsor the site. Increased revenue is needed to grow.

Methods to increase revenue include getting more sponsors and supporters, selling products, selling services, commissions from affiliate sales, and selling advertising space. See Revenue Model for detailed revenue plans.

In conclusion

The School for Champions has been organized and is operating as a viable online school, but it needs ways to add course material, increase enrollment and increase revenue. Flexible plans for the growth of the school are in place.
