Mini-Quiz: Excellence Important in Public Speaking

by Ron Kurtus (revised 30 April 2012)

Take this Mini-Quiz to check your understanding of the lesson material.

1. What is the difference between a good speech and excellent speech?

An excellent speech goes beyond what the audience expected

It depends whether you agree with the speaker's opinions

There is no difference; it is simply semantics

2. What if one person criticizes your speech?

Tell him that he isn't so good either

Listen, but consider the source

Realize that you are just a lousy speaker

3. How can you improve your speeches?

Study, practice and know your audience

You can only improve up to your natural abilities

Try to be funny to get their mind off your material

If you got all three correct, you are on your way to becoming a Champion in Public Speaking. If you had problems, you had better look over the material again.

Speak with excellence and be proud of your work
