The following are select resources on HTML that should prove valuable to you. Listed are:

Tutorials

8 Minute HTML Primer. This primer, created by the Web66 Project, explains the eight most basic HTML tags and is intended to take about eight minutes to master.

Creating Net Sites. This is Netscape Communications' own starting point for would-be Web authors.

HTML Tutorial Overview. There are three sections to this Stanford University tutorial: basics of HTML, simple topics for everyone, and advanced topics.

Introduction To HTML. NCSA's classic tutorial for HTML beginners is a good place to get started.

Project Cool Developer Zone. Project Cool Developer Zone - Project Cool offers a number of well-written advanced HTML tutorials.

Writing HTML. This is an online HTML writing tutorial for beginners provided by the Maricopa Center for Learning and Instruction.

Guides

Bare Bones Guide To HTML. Kevin Werbach's classic "cheat sheet" of HTML tags.

Beginner's Guide To HTML. This NCSA guide contains HTML commands with examples plus several links to other guides and resource information.

HTML Quick Reference. Here's another concise reference guide to HTML elements with descriptions. This one comes from the University of Kansas.

HTML Reference Manual. Sandia National Laboratories created this detailed tag-by-tag description of HTML, including attributes.

Introduction to HTML. This primer is one of the many valuable resources at the Web Developer's Virtual Library.

Reference Guide to HTML. This is a brief HTML guide written for authors.

Miscellaneous

HTML Writers Guild. The HTML Writers Guild is a membership group for professional Web designers. You will also find many good links here.

HTML Validation Service. This page allows you to see if your HTML conforms to Internet Engineering Task Force standards. It provides interactive forms to check pieces of HTML code.
