Mini-Quiz: Competing for a Job

by Ron Kurtus (revised 4 October 2011)

Take this Mini-Quiz to check your understanding of the lesson material.

1. How does a good resume help you get a job?

It really doesn't do much of anything except tell them your name

If they like your resume, they will offer you a job on the spot

It will open the door for a job interview

2. What is a very important factor in an interview?

Whether they like you

Telling about your accomplishments on all your jobs

Being polite and asking if you can light up a cigarette

3. What if you don't know anyone the employer knows?

You are out of luck and will not get the job

Just make sure your references are reliable and positive

Double the number of references that you list

If you got all three correct, you are on your way to becoming a Champion in Winning Competitions. If you had problems, you had better look over the material again.
