Importance of Striving for Excellence

Striving for excellence is trying to do your best.
In your role as a student, it is important that you do your best and produce excellent work. This will increase your confidence and esteem, as well as result in praise, good grades, and other benefits.
Excellence requires satisfying the homework requirements, being well-prepared for your tests, and even going beyond what is expected.

Excellence
Doing an acceptable job in your schoolwork means that you have completed the assignment as required, it was turned in on time, and it was without errors or omissions.
Doing your best
On the other hand, doing an excellent job means you have done your best and have exceeded the expectations of the teacher. Hopefully, it will result in getting a top grade.
In the eye of the beholder
To some degree, excellence is in the eye of the beholder. If you have done your best, you may feel your schoolwork is excellent.
But the teacher may have had different expectations and a different way to evaluate whether or not the work was excellent.

The benefits of doing excellent work are an increase in confidence and self-esteem, as well as recognition and praise.

It is a good feeling when you complete a difficult school project. It can increase your confidence in being able to do even more challenging tasks.
If you have done your best, gone the extra mile and produced what you feel is an excellent assignment, you should feel proud of yourself and your abilities. It is especially gratifying if you can look at what you have accomplished with pride.
Get praise and acknowledgement
If your teacher and fellow students also feel that you have done excellent work, you may receive praise or acknowledgement for what you have done.
They may recognize you as a student who does his or her best to do quality work. A student with a reputation for doing excellent work will certainly get better grades than someone who often does a shoddy job.

You should make an effort to gain excellence.
Know the requirements
The first thing in ensuring that you do excellent job is to know the requirements for completing your assignment. You must then work hard to complete the task on time and per the requirements, with no errors or omissions.
Have a good attitude
The attitude of doing excellent work goes beyond simply satisfying teacher requirements. It is delivering a product that is beyond your teacher's expectations. You should add an extra touch of quality to all of your assignments.
Other factors needed
You need to be healthy and alert to do excellent work. You also need knowledge and skill, as well as character to complete your assignments. Having a reputation for excellence can lead to becoming admired and considered valuable by your teachers, parents, and friends.
