Cookware parties

Topic: Cookware Companies

Question

March 28, 2018

Looking for recommendations of leading cookware doing parties and recurring help?

John - USA

28489

Answer

You might check with some local stores that sell waterless cookware for referrals concerning cookware parties.

Also, a Google search on "cookware parties" can give a listing for the various brands. I've seen some from cookware salesmen promoting their services, but of course you want someone local.

Best wishes in your efforts.

Doctors not helping health condition

Topic: Meniere Disease

Question

March 12, 2018

Dear Champion
I live in a country with wishy washy health protocol and doctors who operate within 'boxes'; not really caring whether patients are healed or get some form of relief; not as my health condition kept deteriorating. My health challenges began with environmental hazard-mold and carbon poisoning. Severe breathing and oxygen deficiency. Only to learn after five years of being treated for symptoms of....that there is no medical protocol for mold and carbon poisoning.I have so many symptoms it is confusing.
One I am sure about is a severe mineral deficiency main one being magnesium which I have been trying to fix on my own. the correct blood test does not exist to test magnesium deficiency.
What do I do? This is my life and I cant give up. After reading and reading and researching I am on a vicious looping cycle of Hyperhidrosis. All the symptoms are there with excruciating vicious cramps crippling me twisting all of me into weird shapes...I see my muscles sinking into pits in my arms hands legs toes..... Pains in head, vertigo, dizziness I have fallen many times - there is damage to my spine....no help THERE IS NO MEDICAL HELP. over the years so many other challenges - glandular etc.
WHAT DO I DO?
Usha

Answer

I am sorry to hear that you are having these health problems. And I agree that there are many doctors who simply "go by the book" and don't really analyse symptoms and possible solutions. This is especially true concerning environmental hazards and poisoning.

I don't think excessive sweating is caused by forms of poisoning. But it might be a side effect. More importantly, you want to regain your health and get relief from your pain.

With many symptoms, you probably have a number of health issues. Note that forms of poisoning can create numerous symptoms.

Try to live as healthy of a lifestyle as possible, and in the meantime look for some doctors or clinics that can help you. Perhaps your doctors can recommend some specialized help, even in some other city.

Best wishes on getting relief and in getting healthy again.

Too many x-rays?

Topic: X-ray Risks

Question

December 26, 2017

I am a 31 year old person and my chest x-ray done by a doctor two times in a month.I want to know that there is any risk or not for my body.

Thanks

Narendra - India

28367

Answer

Having x-rays two times a month seems excessive unless it is to monitor a fast growing ailment. Ask your doctor if having x-rays twice a month is really necessary.

Being 31 years old, you need to make sure your reproductive organs are protected by lead shielding.

If the x-ray equipment is modern, the radiation is much smaller, and the risk is less. However, it still is best to not have the x-rays unless really necessary.

Best wishes for good health.

Ultra Craft waterless cookware handles

Topic: Waterless Cooking

Question

November 2, 2017

Do you know where or what company took over Ultra Craft waterless cookware? I need some replacement handles. Thank you

Joleta - USA

Answer

You might try Regal Ware or Kitchen Craft, since they bought out many cookware companies. Otherwise, you can try some repair shop to get generic handles that may fit.

I hope that helps.

Warm bath after overeating

Topic: Vomiting

Question

September 30, 2017

Does taking a nice warm bath help stomach aches after overeating?

Eli - USA

28268

Answer

Although a warm batch can relax you, I don't think it does much to relieve stomach aches after overeating.

You should try not to eat too much. A stomach ache should be a warning to you.

Digestive aids can help relieve the stomach discomfort. But they should not be taken all the time.

Best wishes for good stomach health.

Answer

Some people are sensitive to high frequency electrical signals, such as come from high power electrical lines. Also, a defective microwave oven can emit electrical signals that affect some people.

For people with older metallic filling in their teeth, high frequency electrical signals can even heat of the fillings. It is good to check with your dentist on this issue.

Such sensitivity can cause anxiety attacks, as well as other symptoms. If you have some device like a pacemaker, you should make sure it is not defective and causing you some problems. It is good to check with your doctor to make sure devices working properly.

I hope this helps you solve your problems. Best wishes for good health.

Question

March 22, 2017

Good afternoon,

My name is Jeron McFarland and I work in the outreach department at Mesothelioma Guide, an advocacy organization dedicated to helping patients diagnosed with asbestos illnesses. In addition, the resources and support you provide are commendable and something I personally admire. I can’t thank you enough for everything you’ve done assisting and guiding individuals throughout our communities.

Because Mesothelioma is a rare cancer and very few treat it, we specialize in connecting patients with doctors and treatment options that are best suited for them. Our services and resources are 100% free to patients and family members.

Unfortunately, that means we don’t have the necessary funding to advertise our services. Therefore, I'm reaching out to webmasters that have visitors who may have been exposed to asbestos or may be suffering from an asbestos-related illness.

I noticed you already have a mesothelioma resource in your links sections however, our resource separates itself from the rest for the simple fact that we have a Veteran and nurse, in-house, ready to answer questions from anyone all over the world. Would you be willing to add our resource to help us spread awareness? A little help can go a long way.

Best wishes,

Jeron - USA

Thanks for the suggested resource. I added it to our Health Resources page. Best wishes for success in your work.

Question

March 20, 2017

Hi,

First off, I hope your week is off to a great start! I'm reaching out to you today as someone responsible for disseminating health and specifically sleep-related resources. As you may or may not be aware, sleep disorders affect over 73 million people in the United States alone and my team at Tuck sleep aims to help reduce that number would love your help!

We created pieces to help everyone from newborns to teenagers to college students to our aging population understand sleep disorders, sleep hygiene and an gain an increased understanding of the often confusing science behind sleep.

We're trying to raise sleep awareness worldwide and would your help in this effort. We’ve been lucky enough to be featured on NPR and TedEd, as well as referenced by organizations like the ADAA and the American Sleep Apnea Association to name a few and were wondering if you might be interested in utilizing our information as well. Would you consider sharing this information by adding a link or our resources here alongside the other great organizations you’ve featured or wherever you see fit?

Thanks for the resources. I added them to Health Resources and Aging Resources.

Unmarked saucepan needs fixing

Topic: Waterless Cooking

Question

February 10, 2017

I have a double boiler saucepan 2-3 qt with no brand mark. It's heavy and appears to be waterless. There is a circle on inside bottom of pan. The lid is Saladmaster and fits well. Did Saladmaster make a pan not branded??
Also missing handles on both pieces and the rectangular metal stub that handle fits onto is 1/2" x 3/4". The handle from the marked Saladmaster pan that came with this unmarked one fits on either pan. Need to know a possible brand so I can order handles to replace them.

Diane - USA

27873

Answer

It is unlikely that Saladmaster would not have a brand mark on their cookware.

You can try to order parts from Saladmaster Parts. Personally, I would check into getting a new saucepan instead of trying to fix the old one.
