Mini-Quiz: Exporting InDesign Book to a PDF eBook

by Ron Kurtus (13 July 2011)

Take this Mini-Quiz to check your understanding of the lesson material.

1. Why is it a good idea to rename your InDesign book file in the new folder?

You always want to rename all your files

It is a requirement from Adobe

So you won't confuse it with the hardcopy InDesign book file

2. Why should you remove blank pages in a PDF ebook?

Users of ebooks prefer not to have blank pages

Most e-readers can't handle blank pages

It helps the text to flow better

3. Why should you recompile the TOC?

It is just a standard practice

Adding the cover and removing pages changes the page order

Only recompile if you do not have Adobe PDF Maker

If you got all three correct, you are on your way to becoming a Champion in Self-Publishing. If you had problems, you had better look over the material again.
