# Mini-Quiz: Measurement of Mass

by Ron Kurtus (revised 19 March 2016)

Take this Mini-Quiz to check your understanding of the lesson material.

1. What is the standard unit of mass used today?

Gram

Kilogram

Pound

2. How can comparing weights on a scale result in a value for mass?

The ratio of weights is the same as the ratio of masses

It is not a valid method, since you want to find mass and not weight

You need to use a spring scale and only use one weight

3. What do you need to know to determine the mass of an object by acceleration?

Values for force and acceleration

The weight of the object

You cannot use this method

If you got all three correct, you are on your way to becoming a Champion in Physics. If you had problems, you had better look over the material again.

You have more knowledge than you realize
