Registering for online speaking training
February 25, 2017
Greetings! Please how can I register for this free online public speech traning?
Sylvanus - Nigeria
You do not have to register to use our Public Speaking lessons.
Although you can read about giving a speech, the best way to perfect your skills is by actually practicing speaking in front of a group. A good place to do that is through the Toastmasters Club. See Lighthouse Toastmasters in Lagos, Nigeria for information, as well as the location of other clubs in your area.
I highly recommend Toastmasters as a way to gain speaking skills and to get over any fears you have.
Best wishes on becoming a top-notch speaker.
Have article on speaking

Love the website, keep up the good work.
I enjoyed reading your article about Public Speaking below:
I've written a 5,000-word article on becoming a better public speaker on my blog that builds on that post in more detail. In addition, I also filmed a 40-minute in-depth complimentary video on public speaking to go with it.
I believe it will be relevant to your audience, let me know if you would like me to send it to you.

I can add a link to your website and video. Let me know the links.
Studying John F. Kennedy's inaugural speech
December 2, 2016
sir, right now I am studying john f Kennedy's inaugural speech will it be a right method to attain oratory at the advanced level
antro - India
You can see the text of John F. Kennedy's Inaugural Speech, as well as to hear an audio of the speech. The audio is a computerized version and not in Kennedy's voice.
Note the his speech has a good introduction and is broken into short paragraphs on each topic. This makes it easy to understand. He also has a good conclusion.
It is a good speech to use in studying and improving your speaking skills.
Best wishes for success in public speaking.
Want to be a motivational speaker
November 22, 2016
I WANT TO BE A MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER. I NEED HELP AND I WANT TO KNOW HOW TO START PLEASE.
SCHNOLDINE - USA
A motivational speaker seeks to inspire the audience, as well as to motivate them to improve themselves.
It is good to try to see various motivational speakers perform in your area. Also, select some motivational speakers that you admire and listen to their audios or watch them on YouTube. This can give you ideas on how to present your material.
Of course, you need to have a subject that you will speak on. You can find organizations where you can give your talks for free in order to refine your material. Even Toastmasters is a good place to improve your skills.
Once you are giving your motivational speech around the area, you can seek paying bookings.
I hope that helps. Best wishes in your speaking career.

Thanks for the suggested resource. I added a link to your site a Speaking Resources.
Note that it might be good to state something like: "Click on the images or words below to see further information" under the title. It took a while until I figured out what to do.
Best wishes for success in your endeavors.
Describe demographic features of the audience
Topic: Know Your Audience
September 20, 2016
describe demographic features about the audience that are to be considered when preparing an oral presentation
venancia - Zimbabwe
You need to know something about your audience before speaking to them. In what are do they live? Where do many of them work? What type of jobs or education do they have?
But also, you need to be sure they would be interested in your subject matter/
Determining the audience group
Topic: Know Your Audience

How would you determine the audience group and presentation for a one-page desktop publication?
Myla - Austalia
I'm not sure if you are asking about speaking to a group or publishing something.
When speaking to a group, the announcement of the subject of your presentation usually will attract interested people. However, if the group is mixed, it is good to talk to people beforehand to get an idea of their interests.
Determining the audience for a publication is more difficult. If it is Internet-based, interested people will usually find it through a search. If the presentation is for desktop use, you need to determine how they will find out about it.
Write a speech for me

chinglembi - India
Your school assignment is for you to write a speech, not for me to write the speech.
See Preparation for Writing a Speech and other speech writing lessons. Then you can use Computer Aid for Writing a Short Speech to help you get started.
I hope that helps. Best wishes in writing a good speech.
What can I do about fear?
February 12, 2016
When i come infront of audiences i suddenly before going to present my presentation feel strange threat or fear and when i start my presentation get nervous my tone trembles and i get nervous i forget what i planned i speak against my planned presentation please guide me dear what should i do in such circumstances
Naveed - India
Just as an entertainer rehearses before a performance, you also need to rehearse your speech or presentation several times. It is good to practice your presentation before friends or family. This will make sure you are completely familiar with what you will say. It will also give you more confidence in doing something you have done several times.
Also, it is helpful to have an outline of your talk--including key words--that you can refer to in case you forget things. No one will think less of you if you glance down at your notes.
I hope these ideas help. Best wishes for success in your presentations.
How to get the attention of the audience?
January 29, 2016
..please could you help me with these tow questions:
1_what should you do to get your audience attention to your speech?
2_What are the main parts of presenting a speech?
I need the answers as soon as possible.Because I will be asked about them on the day of the exam 05/02/2016 and thank you in advance.
Ahmad - Morocco
After you have been introduced and are standing in front of your audience, it is good to pause and wait for them to get settled. If you don't say anything right away, it will cause them to give you attention.
Then you need to get their interest. One good way is to ask them a question that relates to your subject. For example: "Let me ask you a question. How many of you have ever XXX?"
Another way to get their interest is to make a statement related to your subject that arouses their curiosity.
The main parts of a speech are the opening, where you get their attention and interest and then tell what you will be speaking about.
Then the body of the speech is where you explain your subject, usually in three parts.
Then in your conclusion, you summarize the points you have made.
Best wishes for success in your speaking and in your exam.
