Mini-Quiz: Make Web Pages Easy to Read

by Ron Kurtus (revised 24 June 2008)

Take this Mini-Quiz to check your understanding of the lesson material.

1. What is a reason for proportional sized fonts?

You can set them and forget them

They allow users to change the size of the text

They can be animated

2. Is using a dark blue background with light blue text advisable?

Yes, because the combination looks unique

Only if there are few images

Not really, because the combination is difficult to read and print out

3. What is a problem with a full-width page format?

Paragraphs can be one line in new wide-screen monitors

It eliminates scrolling that people enjoy

Often text runs off the page

If you got all three correct, you are on your way to becoming a Champion in Web Design. If you had problems, you had better look over the material again.

Think of how others do things
