Mini-Quiz: Redirecting to Another Web Page

by Ron Kurtus (revised 5 August 2011)

Take this Mini-Quiz to check your understanding of the lesson material.

1. What does the suggested META code do?

It refreshes the page, sending the user to another location

It displays the URL that the user should click.

It is only used for information purposes

2. Where should your JavaScript code be placed?

In the text of the content, so the user can see the code

On the page where you want to redirect to

Usually in the HEAD area of the code

3. Why should you consider using a manual redirect link?

People get frightened by automatic changes

Some people have JavaScript or META redirect disabled

Never use a manual redirect link, because of security reasons

If you got all three correct, you are on your way to becoming a Champion in Web Design. If you had problems, you had better look over the material again.

Consider all possibilities in your web design
